Gluten FREE Cakes

The formation of Purely Delicious came about through a growing awareness of a lack of choice in the market for people with a wheat and corn/maize intolerance.

Julie, who has gluten and additive intolerances herself, took up the cause and started to bake a small range of gluten free cakes which were an instant hit.

Encouraged, she researched for a wider range, expanding to include over twenty different cakes, pastries, and breads which she sells to appreciative customers at local Farmers’ Markets and is involved in the Lancashire Food scene, attending conferences and events throughout the year.

Purely Delicious is a unique cake company producing gluten, wheat and corn and mostly dairy-free breads and cakes direct to you from their farmhouse kitchen. Based in the beautiful Lancashire countryside and formed a little over a year ago, the company is headed by Julie Cowburn who is passionate about great baking, great taste and using pure and healthy ingredients.

Additives are shunned at Purely Delicious, making their cakes some of the most naturally produced bakery products available today.

Only natural ingredients are part of the Purely Delicious recipes, free range eggs and unrefined sugars where used, and many of the fruit and vegetable ingredients are grown in their own kitchen garden.

In these times of mass, factory produced foods, it is refreshing to find such healthy, wholesome and naturally tasty home-baked confectionery - care of Purely Delicious. We hope you enjoy them!

In addition to the outlets of Farmers’ Markets and food and health related events, Purely Delicious supply celebration cakes to order, offering a mouthwatering range of cakes and buns, breads and pastries.

If you have a celebration coming up, why not contact us on 01704 892134 or send us a message to discuss your particular requirements.
